Bird-watching on long Easter weekend

I hope everyone is having a good long Easter weekend thus far.  My Easter weekend involved bird-watching and spending time with new friends (humans, birds, and one dog).  Here are bird pictures from different places.

Ring-billed Gulls (Larus delawarensis).  I didn't pay enough attention to see if there is more than one species.

Apparently after I left for McCarthy Woods, this blogger documented Red-winged Blackbirds, a Pied-billed Grebe, and a Herring Gull in the same area.  D'oh.

Mud Lake

Compared to the past couple of days, the weather today was not so good - cloudy and chilly.  I went to Mud Lake with a friend to test her new camera but neither of us took a lot of photos in the end.  We did came across a photography class which helped us saw Wood Ducks and Cooper's Hawks.

The highlight of the day was seeing Wood Ducks (Aix sponsa) for the first time this year.
