Today, I went to downtown Ottawa and Gatineau to check out the Tulip Festival in these parts of the cities.

There are much fewer tulips here, but they still draw quite a crowd.

There are also some tulip beds next to the Canadian Museum of History (formerly the Canadian Museum of Civilization), so I crossed the Alexandra Bridge to check them out.

While there, I did some bird-watching and saw a Gray Catbird (Dumetella carolinensis).

Eastern chipmunk (Tamias striatus)
I also saw this Eastern chipmunk (Tamias striatus) digging for things in the ground.

It looks like some kind of juicy larvae to me.

Tulips & Parliament Building
Malak's Bed is very tiny, but it provides an interesting view because the background is the Parliament Building.
