Insects at London Farm & Goldfinch

I visited London Farm for the first time since coming back. All the tulips are gone, replaced by other brightly-coloured flowers.

Colourful Garden

There were different kinds of insects in the garden as well.

Too many spots for me to count.

Skipper

Some kind of Bumblebee

Not sure what this bee is, but it was extremely aggressive and liked to harass other bees on the plant it was feeding from.

Syrphid Fly

Western honey bee (Apis mellifera)
Always cute Western honey bee

On the way home, there was this molting American Goldfinch plucking thistledown and eating the seeds.

American Goldfinch (Carduelis tristis)
