There were a lot of birds there, but no pheasants.

The best find of the day was this Red-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta canadensis), which appeared for a minute or two before disappearing into the woods again.
Not sure if I've seen this bird before or not, but this certainly my best photo of it.
Afterwards, we went for lunch, and then we came back home where my mother prepared yummy dishes and fruits to thank the gods and pray for a good new year.
Apples, sausages, fried red-bean sweet cakes, fish cakes, etc...

Oh yeah, we never found the Silver Pheasant, but one of the park staff said they might move it to Bloedel where it will survive and live better. Also, the park is also catching the Grey Squirrels and moving them away from the feeders because they are eating up too much of the bird food (i.e. costing a lot of money).
